Overview

Large language models offer immense reasoning and context-handling capabilities — but without structure, they can go off the rails. This guide shares a set of example Intents that pair that reasoning with clear, repeatable prompt patterns and guardrails, so Triage Agent moves tickets from deflection to real, AI-driven resolution.
The “frameworks” below (CLEAR, GROW, OODA, and so on) are prompt-authoring patterns — ways to structure the text you write into an Intent’s description and external reply. They are not product settings or toggles you enable. Under the hood, Triage Agent gathers context using its own Issue Identification Framework before choosing a resolution path; these patterns simply help you write Intent content that plays to that strength.
What you’ll find:
  • Prompt patterns with example statements and guardrails you can borrow when writing Intents.
  • Ready-to-adapt Intent examples — each with a description, form fields, and the step-by-step external-reply logic the agent follows.
All snippets below are meant to be adapted in the Intent Builder (Admin → Magic Agents → Catalog → Create Intent).

Prompt-pattern cheat sheet

Each pattern gives the model a clear structure to reason within — trimming noise, speeding up resolution, and keeping behavior predictable. Below is a quick summary of each, its core purpose, and the example Intent it appears in.

Intent examples

Each example below is a starting point you can paste into the Intent Builder and adapt to your stack. The tables show the Intent’s form fields and the external-reply logic; treat the regex and step wording as illustrative rather than exact.
