Windows Update Client Failures
Diagnose Windows Update client failures: 0x8024xxxx and 0x800Fxxxx errors, update loops and rollbacks, and stuck scans across WU, WSUS, and Intune sources.
Runs as: Skill — you run it in Super Magic and confirm each write; there’s no Flow trigger for this one.
Connectors: IT GlueHudu
Role: Technician
Outcome: Faster Resolution & Response
When to use: One machine (or a handful) erroring on updates with an 0x8024xxxx / 0x800Fxxxx / 0xC1900xxx code; an update that installs, reboots, then rolls back (“We couldn’t complete the updates”); “checking for updates” hanging, or a machine compliant in one console but stale in another; or RMM patch reports flagging a device repeatedly failing the same KB.
Run it: on the one device ticket you’re working — a tech works it hands-on; not unattended.
