Ways to run a runbook
There are four ways to run a runbook in Automagically:- Running from Automagically: run any runbook directly from the Automagically platform, with full control over client selection and inputs.
- Running from the ticket: when Automagically identifies a runbook that matches a ticket, it posts an internal note with a link to the recommended runbooks. Opening the link takes you straight to the recommended runbook, with the client and ticket context already loaded.
- Running from Super Magic: Super Magic proactively suggests matching runbooks based on the ticket context, or you can ask it to run one directly from the chat.
- Running via Intents: automate runbook execution through Thread’s Triage Agent. When a matching ticket comes in, the agent collects the required inputs directly from the end user and triggers the runbook automatically. Intents can be configured to run immediately or to wait for technician approval first.
