Availability: Limited release — contact your Thread account team to enable connectors for your workspace.
Connect Linear and Super Magic can work with your issues, projects, and cycles — so when a ticket turns out to be a product bug, you can file it without leaving the conversation.

What you can ask

“Create a Linear issue for this bug and link this ticket in the description”
“Find Linear issues about the printer driver problem”
“What’s in the current cycle?”
“Add a comment to LIN-123 with what the client just reported”
Anything that creates or changes something in Linear goes through Super Magic’s Confirm action card first.

Set it up

Linear is a connector: an admin makes it available, then each member signs in with their own Linear account — Super Magic acts with your Linear permissions, not a shared bot account. Admin (once):
1

Open the Integrations page

In the Thread Admin app, open Integrations (/dashboard/integrations). Connectors sit at the bottom of the list, below the workspace integrations.
2

Enable Linear

On the Linear connector row, select Enable. This makes it available — it doesn’t connect anyone yet.
Each member (once):
1

Open the Connectors page in your Inbox

Open the Connectors page in your Inbox.
2

Connect and sign in to Linear

Click Connect on the Linear row and sign in to Linear.
3

Confirm you're signed in

The row shows Signed in as your account — done. Disconnect anytime.

Troubleshooting

  • Linear not on your Connectors page? Your admin hasn’t enabled it, or your workspace isn’t in the connectors release yet.
  • Connected but tools failing? Disconnect and reconnect — your Linear authorization may have been revoked on Linear’s side.
  • Anything else: Super Magic Admin Guide → Troubleshooting.

Available tools

Linear’s official MCP server (mcp.linear.app — the same endpoint Thread connects to) currently exposes ~45 tools. Verified June 10, 2026 against the live server:
Notes: the exact set is controlled by Linear and can change — Super Magic picks up changes automatically (tool list refreshes every ~5 minutes) and registers the vendor’s tools 1:1, nothing filtered. In Super Magic each tool appears as linear_{name} (e.g. linear_list_issues). What a member can actually do is still bound by their own Linear permissions.
