Use Liongard with Super Magic
Connect Liongard and Super Magic can answer questions about your clients' IT infrastructure — environments, systems, configuration data, alerts, detections, and change timelines — right inside the ticket conversation.
What you can ask
"What systems does Acme have in Liongard?"
"Any active Liongard alerts or detections for Acme?"
"Show me the recent configuration changes for Acme's firewall"
"Pull the Liongard timeline for this client's Microsoft 365 environment"
Everything Liongard provides to Super Magic is read-only — it looks things up, it never changes your Liongard data.
The exact capabilities come live from your Liongard instance, so as Liongard adds more, Super Magic picks it up automatically.
Set it up (admin, once for the whole workspace)
Liongard is a workspace-level integration: an admin connects it once and it works for every member — no individual sign-ins.
- Get your Liongard API credentials — in Liongard, create an API access key (you'll need the Access Key ID and Access Key Secret) and note your Liongard subdomain (the first part of the address you use to open Liongard, e.g.
yourcompany.app.liongard.com). - Connect it in Thread — open the Liongard integration setup (the Configure button on the Liongard row in Super Magic settings → Integrations takes you there) and enter the subdomain, Access Key ID, and Access Key Secret.
- Enable it for Super Magic — back on Super Magic settings → Integrations, turn the Liongard toggle on.
That's it — Liongard answers now appear for all members.
Troubleshooting
- No Liongard answers in chat? Check the row shows Connected and the toggle is on. Both are required.
- Still nothing? Your workspace may not have the Liongard release enabled yet — ask your account team.

Available tools
Liongard's tools are fetched live from your Liongard instance's MCP server ({your-subdomain}.app.liongard.com/api/mcp), so the exact list depends on your instance and Liongard's current release — there is no fixed list in Thread. Super Magic refreshes the list automatically (every few minutes).
The capability domains Liongard exposes:
- Environments — your client tenants in Liongard
- Systems & inspectors — the 80+ system types Liongard inspects and their configuration data
- Identities & devices — normalized asset inventory
- Metrics — compliance metrics and scoring
- Alerts & detections — active alerts and configuration-change detections
- Timelines — inspection history and configuration change timelines
