Getting started with Magic Analytics
Magic Analytics is your reporting experience inside Thread. It brings your service desk metrics and the impact of Thread's AI products together in one place, so you can see the value you're getting and where to focus next.
Accessing Magic Analytics
To access Magic Analytics, go to Thread admin → General → Analytics. From there, you can explore dashboards and use the Dashboard Agent to dig deeper into your data.

How it's organized
- Dashboards — pre-built views for each product area including ROI Value Realization, Assistive AI Accuracy, Triage Agent Summary, Messenger (Chat), Voice AI Summary, and Service Team Performance & AI Usage. Open a dashboard, apply filters, review your results, and use the Dashboard Agent by selecting the Magic Analytics chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of the dashboard.
- Topics — the curated data areas you're allowed to explore. See Topics you can explore.
- Dashboard Agent — ask questions in plain English and get answers and charts back. Available to AI Pro members. See Dashboard Agent.
Reading the data correctly
What | Detail |
Refresh cadence | Data updates on a daily cycle — Magic Analytics is effectively about a day behind, not real-time. |
"Query ran" timestamp | Each tile shows when its data last ran, so you always know how current it is. Hover over a tile and click the three dots to see the timestamp for when the query last ran. |
Large dataset | Apply filters, such as date range and available source or board, to explore and slice your data more effectively. |
Your data only | You always see only your organization's data. |
Acting on a dashboard or tile
Hover over any tile and click the ⋮ (three dots) in the top-right corner to:
- Ask a follow up question (Dashboard Agent — AI Pro)
- Download… the tile's data or image
- Alert… when results meet a condition
- Schedule delivery… on a recurring cadence
You can also download or schedule a whole dashboard from its File menu. See Downloading, alerts & scheduling.
